Why Recycle Electronics?

E-waste is a growing problem in our communities. Electronics contain dangerous toxins and must be disposed of sustainably.

As of July 1, 2013 it is Colorado state law that electronics may not be thrown in the trash. This law applies to electronic devices thoughout the state of Colorado and affects both residents and businesses.

By recycling your electronics you are ensuring that hazardous waste does not leach into the earth, endangering plants, animals, water & human health.

Why Recycle With Us?

We are in the process of obtaining our R2 Certification!

At SustainAbility, we ensure that all electronics are ethically handled in every way. We carefully disassemble each element & distribute pieces to environmentally responsible downstream recyclers to be remade into new products.

WE WORK DIRECTLY WITH LOCAL E-STEWARDS & R2 CERTIFIED RECYCLERS. WE ARE RECOGNIZED BY THE STATE OF CO AS A LARGE QUANTITY HANDLER OF UNIVERSAL WASTE.

Hard Drive Destruction with SustainAbility & Electronic Recyclers International (ERI)

We have locked containers at our sites for your data destruction needs.

All hard drives placed in these containers are sent directly to ERI for destruction. ERI destroys data in accordance with (NAID) The National Association for Information Destruction and the (DOD) Department of Defense standards.

ERI takes data protection seriously. In addition to the shredding process, which destroys 100 percent of your device’s data, ERI operates surveillance cameras, metal detectors and third-party security at all ERI facilities, ensuring devices and data never leaves an ERI facility.
